In math class, students are learning about the three metric system base units: the meter, the liter, and the gram. Students are using their place value understanding to convert from one unit to another. They are also closely reading word problems to determine which operation to use.

-

In ELA class
, students are learning about author's purpose. Students
are using their reading skills to answer questions like, "WHY did the author write this text?" They are also writing their own texts to persuade, inform, and/or entertain readers.
